Overview
Ingredients
Equipment
- Small saucepan
- Fine mesh strainer
- Mug or glass
- Handheld frother
Method

Make the cardamom rose syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the water, rose petals, cardamom, and honey (or sugar). Simmer, stirring, until the sweetener dissolves, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover, and let steep 20 to 30 minutes. Strain into a jar and refrigerate.

Brew and froth the milk
Pull 1 to 2 shots of espresso or brew 4 to 6 ounces of strong coffee. Steam or froth the milk of your choice until warm and airy.

Stir together and serve
Add the espresso or coffee to a mug (or a glass with ice for iced). Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of the cardamom rose syrup, then pour in the milk and stir to combine. Enjoy.

Frequently asked
Can I make it iced?+
Yes, build it in a glass filled with ice instead of a warm mug.
Where do I find rose petals and cardamom?+
Look in the bulk spice or tea section of the grocery store, or order them online.
Which milk froths best?+
Dairy milk froths well, and most store-bought oat milks froth nicely too.
